Heavens to Betsy
Dissatisfied with commercially available chocolate sauces and convinced she could improve on them herself, Betsy began the process of concocting her own recipe — one that would sufficiently sate her tastebuds and have the silky, rich and buttery consistency that was part and parcel to Betsy’s vision of the perfect drizzle for vanilla ice cream. Two years of experimentation produced the wry, knowing smile of success.
The name and identity for Heavens to Betsy were inspired by the joyful nature of its founder… and her name, of course. But perhaps most of all by her determination — an admirable quality that, at least as a child, would on occasion provoke someone to utter the phrase “Heavens to Betsy!”
A variety of logo treatments have been developed for use on different brand components, and to differentiate between flavor profiles.
Our work includes a website, packaging, postcards and various branded apparel items.
