EndHep2030

By any measure, viral hepatitis is a staggering public health threat. Over 300 million people have chronic hepatitis B or C infections, and viral hepatitis is the seventh leading cause of death globally. Yet less than 1 in 10 with chronic hepatitis know they have it. Thus, in 2016, the World Health Organization identified the need for a global funding mechanism to coalesce financial resources and action focused on eliminating viral hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030.

To address this, the organization EndHep2030 was formed. Our brief was to create a brand image, website and integrated fundraising assets to assist in this noble cause. Accordingly, we developed a logo and identity system to express both the organization’s urgency as well as the humanity of their mission. The visual voice was inspired by the demonstrable effect of human action. We used vivid yellow and arresting swipes of red — reminiscent of protest march posters—to attract attention and invite participation.

The new brand, website, and fundraising assets were officially launched in December 2018, upon which the oversight committee told us they now have an image that lives up to the nobility of their effort and signals the gravitas appropriate for attracting major funding.
